Interior design for an Alpine hotel

For the future-oriented repositioning of the five-star Hotel Kulm Arosa, Andrin Schweizer's team developed a tailor-made interior design concept for the Alpine luxury hotel industry that deliberately sets itself apart from traditional Alpine chic. Instead, the new hotel interior design focuses on international flair, a clear design language and the targeted use of natural materials such as wood, stone, textiles and textured surfaces. Inspired by the time the hotel was built in the 1970s and the archaic power of the mountains, the concept combines sculptural volumes with organic shapes to create an elegant, atmospheric overall picture - stylish, homely and far removed from purist coolness.

Interior design that combines the existing and the future

As an experienced interior design office for hotels, Andrin Schweizer and his team give great importance to the sensitive treatment of existing buildings. In the Kulm Arosa, existing elements such as the wooden coffered ceiling and the natural stone fireplace were integrated into the new design concept and further developed in terms of design. The concept for a holistic interior design across the lobby, bar, restaurant and guest rooms creates a coherent atmosphere of subtle elegance and design clarity. Natural materials not only ensure authenticity, but also comfort and tangible quality. Even rather compact hotel rooms are designed in such a way that they appear spacious, inviting and functional - a central concern of modern interior design in the five-star hotel industry. The result: a well thought-out design concept that impresses international guests and at the same time respectfully continues the history of the hotel.
